現代文化資產保存管理規劃案例

本次活動主辦單位東海大學建築系之師生,透過蓋提基金會2014年「維持其現代」獎助計畫及總主持人郭奇正教授的協助，由2020年開始陸續以設計課與實習工作坊之課程，彙整並實踐蓋提基金會擬推動的「保存管理規劃」概念於路思義教堂及相關係原現代建築的保存工作。

2023年秋季，建築系爲此次工作營開設了工作坊課程,帶領同學深入瞭解三天的國際工作營中，將討論的保存管理規劃個案及其實際的執行經驗。以下為三天國際工作營將討論的十個案例簡介：可以直接點選下列案例照片取得，方便於手機或任何隨身裝置上閱讀攜帶。

Co-organized with the Getty Foundation, the Department of Architecture has initiated a series of Design Studios for the Graduate School program and three workshop courses from 2020. To practice the five stages of "Conservation Management Planning (CMP)" promoted by the Getty Foundation's "Keeping it Modern (KIM)" Grant.

Sydney Opera House

Yoyogi National Stadium

代代木國立競技場、代代木公園和重建的明治神宮是日本戰後復興的象徵。丹下健三的創新理念推動了日本的城市規劃歷史，促使了現代主義與日本傳統的融合。

Historically, Yoyogi National Stadium, along with Yoyogi Park and the reconstructed Meiji Shrine, symbolizes Japan's post-war resurgence.

Kenzo Tange's innovative ideas reshaped Japan's urban planning, seamlessly blending modernism with Japanese tradition.

Robie House

Robie House為Frank Lloyd Wright所設計的草原式建築。草原風格標誌著對19世紀美國衍生住宅建築的重大突破，擺脫了歷史上的歐洲風格，萊特的草原風格房屋呈現了現代美國建築的新視野。

Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Prairie style marked a decisive break from the derivative residential architecture of 19th Century America. Freed from the confines of historical European styles, Wright's Prairie houses presented a new vision for modern American architecture.

Eames House

Eames House是由Charles和Ray Eames夫婦所設計建造，是戰後現代住宅設計的國際典範。他們著重於工業材料的創新使用、室內外空間的整合、開放式布局、對材料的真實表現等等。

The Eames House, designed and built by Charles and Ray Eames, stands as an exceptional international example of postwar modern residential design. They concerned about the innovative use of industrial materials, integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, open plan layout, honest expression of materials.

Nakashima House

由著名的日裔美國木工和家具設計師喬治·中島設計和建造，這座建築既是住宅，也是展示中島標誌性家具設計的場所。其獨特的建築特色,使其成為展示中島藝術、家具和收藏品的特殊空間。

Designed by George Nakashima, is a notable architectural structure serving as both his residence and a showcase for his iconic furniture designs. Its foundation plays a crucial role in preserving Nakashima's life and work for public accessibility, symbolizing a blend of architectural innovation and celebration of his artistic legacy.

The Benedictine Monastery of the Holy Trinity

智利的現代建築，受到技術進步和美國現代主義的影響，崛起以應對地震威脅。聖三一本篤修道院及其教堂是智利建築現代主義的典範，展現了創新建築技術與豐富文化背景的融合。

Modern architecture in Chile, driven by technological advancements and American modernism, emerged to address seismic concerns. The Benedictine Monastery of the Holy Trinity and its church exemplify Chilean architectural modernism, showcasing the fusion of innovative construction techniques with a rich cultural context.

Gandhi Bhawan, Panjab University

Gandhi Bhawan 使用低成本技術進行施工，進行了對材料的實驗，充分考慮當地氣候和材料環境。規劃團隊改變了印度建築師對建築的態度和方法，將印度的施工架構由一種無組織的狀態轉變為專業體系。

They use low-cost technology for construction and process material experiments adapted to the local context. The team not only influenced Indian architects, but also professionalized the field.

METU Faculty of Architecture Building Complex

METU建築系館是戰後建築工程創新的展現，建造時整體工地被視為土耳其新材料、機械裝置和建築技術的實驗室。其校園選址和規劃，在過去 60 年來都被認為是土耳其最佳的。

The METU Department of Architecture is a showcase of post-war innovation in architectural engineering. METU seen as a laboratory in new materials, mechanical equipment, and construction technology.

Giancarlo De Carlo "Collegi" in Urbino

烏爾比諾大學位於意大利 Le Marche 地區的文藝復興城市-烏爾比諾，以其聯合國教科文組織的文化遺產地而著名。該大學於1507年建立。校園設施分佈在城市內外，因此有了 "烏爾比諾：城市校園" 的口號。

Urbino, a Renaissance city located within in the region of Le Marche, Italy. Notable as a UNESCO heritage site. As well as the home of the University of Urbino, with a history dating back to its establishment in 1507. The campus amenities are scattered within and around the city, hence they have a motto - "Urbino: a city campus."

Luce Chapel

台灣國定古蹟中唯一的一棟現代主義建築--路思義教堂，是東海大學校園內醒目的地標性建築物，出自貝聿銘、陳其寬等設計名家之手，教堂的結構、施工使其成為當年國際具代表性的建築案例之一。

The only modernist building in Taiwan's national monuments, the Luce Chapel, is an eye-catching landmark building on the campus of Tunghai University. It was designed by famous designers such as I.M. Pei and Chen Qikuan. The structure and construction of the church make it a one of the most representative architectural cases in the world at that time.
